Trouble sending email, but receiving fine

Symptom:

You are able to receive email, but when you send you are getting an error such as: "cannot connect to outgoing mail server"

  1. Make sure your email client settings are correct for your outgoing mail server.
  2. If the problem persists, try changing your Outgoing server (SMTP) email port from port 25 to port 587, and restart your email client
